Math Schmath – engaging games, puzzles, and crafts to prove to your student that math can be amazing and fun! Each day has a different focus – from Fibonacci’s sequence to estimation, from graphing to pentasquares, we promise to show your student the super-duper fun side of math.
MONDAY: MathArt! Fraction Flags, Multiplication Mansions, Geometry Stained Glass, and so much more!
TUESDAY: Brain Teasers, Jelly Beans, and Mazes, Oh My! We will explore rod numerals, knot puzzles, Venn diagrams, and logic problems just to start – the possibilities are endless!
WEDNESDAY: Money, Time, and Space! Everything necessary for your student to be independent (no laundry or vacuuming lessons included).
THURSDAY: Measuring, Macrame, and Plants! It’s back to the seventies with our Thursday projects!
Kyle Moses, an aspiring astrophysicist, will lead the students in this workshop to love math and all of its creative uses.
Math Schmath will take place M-Th (right before Reader's Corner) on July 31st through August 10th.
K-1st graders: 2:00-2:50pm
2nd-3rd graders: 3:00-3:50pm
4th-5th graders: 4:00-4:50pm
